ONU and ONT activation on supported equipment
ONU and ONT are common terms used when planning subscriber activation. AutoXpon brings supported discovery and authorization operations together with provisioning profiles; discovery and write support vary by OLT driver.
Define the service before activation
Review serial numbers, PON ports, VLANs and service profiles before applying a change. Reusable settings help make activations consistent, but do not remove the need to validate the intended subscriber service.
Validate before scaling
Test one supported OLT and subscriber endpoint first. Confirm authorization, optical readings and customer traffic after provisioning. Do not assume that monitoring support also means automated ONU creation or deletion is available.
